acoustic assessments and reports for a range of projects

At the planning stage of any development (residential, commercial, plant installation etc.) an environmental noise impact assessment may be required by the Local Authority.

We have vast experience in carrying out a range of fit-for-purpose noise surveys and assessments to satisfy the requirements of Local Authorities.

Why choose us?

  • We offer highly competitive prices
  • Our turnaround and lead times are suited for the most urgent projects
  • We have an invaluable knowledge of local authority requirements allowing us to produce relevant reports efficiently.
  • We have a wealth of experience in many assessment types including new plant installations, road noise, construction monitoring, industrial noise etc.

Local authorities generally require the impact of proposals to be assessed against the existing background noise levels. These usually have to be measured over a 24-hour period.

For new plant installations, allowable noise emissions are usually set to a maximum level of 5 to 10dB below the existing backgound noise level.
